Children

We love children and we work hard to empower them to love God. Our vibrant children’s ministry is led by a passionate and dedicated team of staff and volunteers who seek to establish strong foundations of Christ’s love and forgiveness into each child’s life. We welcome volunteers to help teach, chaperone, plan, lead, and promote. If you would like to serve in children’s ministries, contact Leah.

Specific goals for our children are to:

• Create a firm foundation in Christ
• Provide consistent programs and activities
• Create an environment where each child feels secure and unique
• Build respect for leadership and each other
• Encourage and challenge our children to have a servant’s heart for the world and those around them

Programs

• Nursery thru age 4 at all regular church services
• Sunday School (Kindergarten-5th grades) - Sundays at 9:00 am
• Upper Room Children’s Church (Kindergarten-5th grades) - Sundays at 10:00 am, except first Sunday of month. Children are dismissed during the worship service each Sunday.
• Kids Club (Kindergarten-5th grades) - special activities that may include families, usually twice each month following worship service on Sunday
• Big Kids Club (Grades 4th-5th) - special events that are usually on Sunday afternoons or Friday evenings
• Movie Night (Kindergarten-5th grades) - as announced, most often on a Friday night

Special Events

• Annual Egg Hunt – open to the entire community – a Saturday in March or April
• Vacation Bible School – when school ends for the summer
• Summer Camps – usually June and July
