Say What?! (High School) Trips

April 5 - 11, 2008

western tour II
ahhhh, yes, one of the best known trips offered to high schoolers across the globe. join us as we take a charter bus across the country stopping along the way to engage in some cool stuff, like the arch, a baseball game, or whitewater rafting--who knows? but i do know that we’ll end up skiing at winterpark and mary jane mountains in colorado. the best thing is we’ll be staying right across the road from the resort and instead of driving back, we’ll be flying! it doesn’t get much better than this. so hurry, i only have 14 spots and they’ll go quickly.
the cost is $499 and the deposit is $200 due february 3rd

June 1 - 7, 2008

mexico missions, tijuana
vamanos, homeys. Let’s make a run for the border to work with amor ministries and literally be the hands and feet of Jesus by building homes for the poor and impoverished in the heart of tijuana. This is one of those trips that will change your life!
the cost is $100-$800 depending on you, and the deposit is $150 due january 4th. contact richard for details

July 13 - 17, 2008

big stuf
we’re back in panama city where the jellyfish are cool and the sharks are laid back. come and hang out with us at one of the sweetest camps around. the hotel is right on the beach where you can play ultimate frisbee, volleyball, or chill on the beach & work on your tan. this camp is amazing, so hurry and sign up. set of ginzu steak knives.
the cost is $330 and the deposit is $100 due april 27th.

(Middle School) Trips

February 15 - 18, 2008

middle school ski & snowboard weekend
ahhhhh, presidents’ day weekend--what a tradition. i remember sitting in history class and hearing about how our forefathers would go skiing and snowboarding every february. well, we’re going to honor them and keep that tradition alive. and the best part, we’re staying in condos right on the slope, so if we want to ski all night long…it’s all good!
the cost is $275 and the deposit is $100 due december 2nd.

June 22 - 26, 2008

big stuf
come and kick it down to panama city. just imagine, opening your hotel room       door and being right on the beach. it doesn’t get much better than this! this was voted top destination by what’shappenin’ critics everywhere. so sign up quick, space is limited.
the cost is $330 and the deposit is $100 due march 23rd.

COMBO TRIP (SatWhat? / What's Happenin'?)

May 10 - 11, 2008

the river retreat
this weekend is going to be an awesome, adventurous retreat on the river. join us as we take duckies (inflatable kayaks) down the nantahala, including “nanty falls.” we’ll stay in tree bungalows, grill out in the mountains, swim in the river, and top it all off by rafting the ocoee river. if you like adventure, you’ll love this weekend.
the cost is $95 and the deposit is $50 due april 20th.

parent's corner

parents, don’t think i forgot about you. i’ve got some pretty cool stuff for you guys this year as well. for starters, you can go to our church website, www.redeemerpc.com, or the saywhat?! website, www.saywhatministries.com,  and find a section called “the parent link.” (coming soon) once you click on that it’ll have all kinds of awesome info for you, from letting you in on what “blogging” is, to our calendar and when trip and deposits are due.

a word to my homeys:
“too bad when i was a kid there wasn't a guy in our class that everybody called the "cricket boy", because i would have liked to stand up in class and tell everybody, "you can make fun of the cricket boy if you want to, but to me he's just like everybody else." then everybody would leave the cricket boy alone, and i'd invite him over to spend the night at my house, but after about five minutes of that loud chirping i'd have to kick him out. maybe later we could get up a petition to get the cricket family run out of town. bye, cricket boy.” --anonymous

some of you may have a “cricket boy” in your class and that’s okay because both saywhat?! & what’shappenin’ are about two things--being passionate about loving God and being passionate about loving people, even “cricket boys,” or girls.

so come chill with us this year. if you’ve finished the 8th grade then high five to you and plan on coming to saywhat?! which is for high schoolers. If you’re school is named something like, “blah, blah, blah middle school,” that means you’re still in middle school and you’ll come to what’shappenin’? both of which, I’d like to add, are rad. (and yes I did mean to rhyme).

saywhat?! starts back august 22nd @ 7:03 pm.

what’shappenin’ starts back august 26th @ 7:33 pm.

as far as trips go remember two things: your deposit holds your spot, nothing else. squash casserole, jamaican beef patties, nor any dessert items containing peanut butter will hold your spot, even though those are my favorites and you could find yourself on my good side if you were to give me any or all of those items. secondly, deposits are non-refundable and if you cancel your spot a month or sooner to the trip date you will be liable for the entire trip cost or finding a replacement. even your tasty treats can’t get you out of that one!

i can’t wait to hang out with all ya’ll again at saywhat?! and what’shappenin’ this year.

in His peace i’m out,
